The twinrider is the first adaptive snowboard system for wheelchair users that truly feels like snowboarding. The twinrider consists of a seat frame and two handlebars that can be mounted on the binding inserts of a regular snowboard. It enables riders to control the board using only upper body strength. The frame can tilt towards the toe and heel side, edge angle is controlled through the handlebars. This allows for precision carving, steering and sideslipping.
As the frame is symmetrical, it can be used by both goofy and regular riders. It is a great addition to adaptive snowsports programs that want to include snowboarding to their activities, as well as snowboard schools that want to be able to provide adaptive lessons to clients of all abilities. It is easy to adapt the kneebar length to fit and balance a rider.
